DivX 是一項由DivXNetworks公司發(fā)明的，類似于MP3的數(shù)字多媒體壓縮技術(shù)。DivX基于MPEG-4標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，可以把MPEG-2格式的多媒體文件壓縮至原來的10%,更可把VHS格式錄像帶格式的文件壓至原來的1%。通過DSL或cable Moden等寬帶設(shè)備，它可以讓你欣賞全屏的高質(zhì)量數(shù)字電影。
